For over 25 years, HMHI has provided housing and supportive program services for families experiencing homelessness.

Program Outcomes, July 1, 2016–June 30, 2017

childs house drawingTransitional Housing: (TH) for single-parent families that include an adult or child with a disability.
Permanent Supportive Housing: (PSH) for individuals with longer term needs who have a disability that challenges the achievement of their educational/vocational goals.
Rent It Forward: for those who have completed the TH program but continue to struggle with affordable
housing options.

40 households served, including 125 participants (85 children)

In addition to overcoming the crisis of homelessness, our parents and their children
also faced additional challenges in the following areas:

79% (51 out of 62 participants) exited to permanent housing
58% (11 out of 19 adult participants) were employed at program exit
84% (16 out of 19 adult participants) had cash income at program exit
100% (19 out of 19 adult participants) had non-cash benefits at program exit
